Part Time Finance / Accounts Assistant

Job Description - Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover) (Part Time) (Wimbledon)

4 days per week - fully office based, 12M Maternity Cover

25-29k 30 hours per week

The role requires use of Sage 50 Accounts (Accounting system), and regular use of Excel.

  • Setting up new clients/suppliers in CMap and Sage as required
  • Credit Control - Credit check new clients, raising & sending sales invoices, & chasing overdue payments
  • Running of interface between CMap and Sage
  • Bank payment and receipt allocation
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Preparation of Payroll (which is then processed by external Payroll provider)
  • Posting of Payroll journals
  • Maintain Fixed Asset register and post depreciation journals
  • Post monthly prepayment journals
  • Reconciliation of Control Accounts
  • Company credit card reconciliation
  • Quarterly submission of VAT via MTD
  • Quarterly running of budget reports
  • Preparation of financial reports for Directors - monthly sales, monthly subcontractor costs
  • Weekly email to Directors to inform them of bank balance/monies due in and out
  • Oversee and prompt for Financial and Accounting deadlines (HMRC submissions & payments, Accounting timetable cut offs)
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required to support the efficient and effective running of the department
