Kingsley Consulting is collaborating with a leading manufacturer of bespoke aluminium products for the building and construction industry. The company is looking to recruit a Stock Controller to join their dynamic and fast-paced production environment in Hyde. This role will support the business in optimising stock control, improving distribution, and enhancing overall efficiency as the company continues to develop and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels in a fast-paced production setting.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and fixings to ensure minimal disruptions to production.
- Implement and monitor stock control systems, with a particular focus on Sage or similar software.
- Regularly conduct stock audits to ensure data integrity and stock accuracy.
- Liaise with production teams to forecast stock requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve stock and distribution processes, reducing waste and inefficiencies.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring continuous improvement in stock control.
- Provide regular stock reports to senior management, highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a stock control role (5+ years preferred), ideally within a busy production or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with stock control software, with experience in Sage being highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stock control tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across various departments.
- Proven ability to identify and implement improvements in stock control and distribution processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of stock management.
