Finance Manager

As Finance Manager you will report into the Financial Controller and manage the finance team. You will ensure that the team consistently produce high quality output with high level of customer service. Working with the Finance Manager you will oversee and support the allocation of work amongst the team.
Core role will include:

  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts at profit centre and legal entity level
  • Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled with full supporting schedules
  • Monthly reconciliation of payroll postings to the general ledger
  • Support the annual budget process
  • Support the quarterly forecast process
  • Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts and audit
  • Preparation of the monthly Sarbanes-Oxley submission
  • Review client money calculations
  • Support/quality control the accounting related to legal entity rationalisation
  • Manage and motivate a team, driving a focus on timeliness, responsiveness, quality and accuracy
  • Maintain sufficient understanding of trading performance, issues etc. - facilitating the information flow and ensure a "no-surprises" mentality is adopted
  • Assist with the driving of change and modernisation through the centralised finance team in line with Group Finance strategy
  • Support the Financial Controller, Finance Business Partners and Group Finance to drive change and efficiency

You should be a Qualified Accountant with staff management experience. Insurance industry experience would be an advantage. This role is paying £55,000 and has hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and 3 days at home.
