Department Overview:

The Internal Audit function is integral to the business' success, covering the entire Group and focusing on executing the annual internal audit plan, bolstering robust internal controls, and providing expert guidance on governance, risk management, and business process improvements.

Role Purpose:

Are you an ACA qualified accountant with internal audit experience and looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a driven and experienced Audit professional to join our team. This role is designed to enhance internal controls, ensuring they are meticulously designed, operationally effective, and perfectly aligned with our ambitious objectives. You will play a key role in planning, executing, and reporting on a variety of internal audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Planning:

  • Engage in comprehensive audit planning, attend key stakeholder meetings, and contribute insightful input to the audit plan.

  • Audit Projects:

  • Lead the end-to-end process of audit projects across our diverse Group, adhering to stringent quality standards and deadlines.

  • Uphold and promote exemplary standards of audit work, consistently delivering high-quality audit reports.

  • Innovate and suggest enhancements to audit methodologies and procedures.

  • Audit Reporting and Follow-Up:

  • Effectively communicate and report audit findings to senior management.

  • Monitor responses and the implementation of agreed actions, ensuring impactful business changes follow audit findings.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Value Addition:

  • Partner with various business units to identify significant process and structural improvements.

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships within the team, auditees, and management.

  • Provide invaluable advice and expertise on various aspects of risk management.

  • Data Analytics:

  • Utilize CAATs (Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques) to analyze large datasets and draw informed conclusions.

  • Lead audits where data analytics plays a crucial role.

  • Travel:

  • Occasional travel is required, approximately 15-20%.

Experience and Skills:

  • ACA qualification is essential, ideally with a background in a Big 4 firm.
  • Proven track record in planning, managing, and delivering audits.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques is highly advantageous.
