We are looking for an aspiring accountant to join one of our longstanding clients based in the Northampton area. This role has become available due to growth within the business and the other exciting thing about this role is that its also available due to the company promoting internally, this business prefers to bring people in at an entry level and provide them with all the training, which is amazing! This role here will be working with a finance manager within the larger finance function, supporting them with a range of finance tasks, including invoices, reconciliations, stakeholder management and a range of senior, month end tasks!
This position will be working as part of larger finance team, where you will also have the opportunity to transfer between departments to really ensure you are gaining experience in all areas. The company are a large logistics business going through record breaking growth, meaning that this is the most exciting time to join the business as you will be able to streamline your own learning and progression opportunities! This role is looking to begin quite quickly so please only apply if you are immediately available or on a short notice period.
Skills required
- Have some kind of relevant finance qualification such as AAT or a degree, providing you with the knowledge to understand the ins and outs of what you will be taking on.
- Be immediately available, or on a short notice period as this role is looking to start quite quickly!
- Be confident with Microsoft Excel as this role requires the successful person to use excel on a daily basis.
- Have strong attention to detail, this role will revolve around working with figures, entering them, reconciling them, querying them. So a strong eye for detail will be essential to ensure you thrive in this role.
