Job Title: Band 7 Mortuary Technician (Part-Time)

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Mortuary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis, covering a few days per week. You will be responsible for supporting our mortuary services and working closely with the existing team. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential services within a dedicated and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mortuary services, including the receipt, storage, and preparation of deceased individuals.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other mortuary staff to maintain a compassionate, efficient, and organized service.
- Manage documentation and records accurately in accordance with departmental protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience in a mortuary or similar clinical environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices, as well as legal requirements in mortuary settings.
- Excellent attention to detail, respect for confidentiality, and compassionate communication skills.
Additional Information: This role will support a team currently approved for 2 Whole Time Equivalents (WTE) but currently staffed at 1.6 WTE.
