Our client, based in Clacton on Sea are a leading organisation in the agricultural industry, is seeking a Dispatch Picking and Packing Operative to join their distribution team.
Responsibilities:
- Print and process daily orders for both domestic and international shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper storage of products.
- Wrap, label, and secure pallets to maintain stability and safety during transport.
- Manage stock rotation.
- Dispose of sachet waste in compliance with regulations.
- Pack stock in priority order, aligning with courier collection times.
- Record fridge temperatures in accordance with quality requirements.
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain a tidy work area and observe safe work practises.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate product availability.
- Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Dispatch Operations Lead or Distribution Manager to uphold customer service standards.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to understand technical terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Professional and articulate communication style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- A driver's licence is desirable.
- A positive and self-motivated mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop.
