Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit on an exclusive basis a Finance Manager for a well-established, profitable, international branded business based in Lancashire.

This role will report into a forward-thinking Head of Finance and offers a huge opportunity for progression and development throughout the business.

This role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Supply Chain Finance deliver key reporting and control commitments, whilst offering key insights to drive efficiency and support growth in the global Supply Chain. Key to success in the role is a requirement to build productive working relationships in Finance and Supply Chain, and at all levels of the organisation to deliver effective, proactive analysis and influence decision making.

Examples of what this role has ownership for:

  • Prepare and review period end reporting for UK and international supply chain HUBs, alongside review of global consolidated reporting
  • Develop, maintain and present the group supply chain period management reporting packs. Ensure ongoing understanding of key variances, trends and KPIs on a global level, offering best in class financial insights to support and challenge senior management decision making
  • Leading the monthly, quarterly and annual budget processes for supply chain, meeting key deadlines
  • Act as process controller for supply chain financial control framework ensuring ongoing adherence to controls and evolving to meet the needs of the business
  • Manage supply chain tracker, ensuring it is accurately maintained by the business partner teams and reviewed with the SLT to support actuals and forecast cycles.
  • Manage central standard costing and transfer pricing processes for the group
  • Remotely manage the team in the European manufacturing Hub (1 direct report).

Examples of what this role will support:

  • Support the Head of SCF to truly globalise the reach of the central Supply Chain Finance team, driving best in class reporting, analysis and support for all Supply Chain operations globally in collaboration with colleagues in international finance.
  • A continuous improvement programme within the SC and wider finance team, developing systems, automated solutions and tools to improve processes, reporting and analysis
  • Support the Supply Chain cost savings agenda by developing and managing effective financial processes with key business partners in Finance and Supply Chain
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Finance Business partners to support the business' NPD and EPD programme by operating as central coordinator for Supply Chain finance inputs into the stage gate process
  • Support reduction of material and product write offs through management of effective reporting and controls
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities in the UK business and sharing best practice across the other international hubs
  • Remaining calm and resilient in the face of adversity, you will be comfortable at navigating a high degree of complexity and ambiguity without the need to draw on others for answers.
  • You will be solution focused and have an internal bias to 'getting things done' whilst not cutting corners against our internal standards and controls.
  • Able to 'cut through' quickly on the tasks and issues that are impacting ways of working and implement short-term solutions that will make the team more efficient and effective.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and will have previous experience within a similar reporting role with supply chain, logistics or FMCG sector experience. A background in supply chain, transfer pricing and standard costing is essential.

The ideal candidate will be a personable, motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and be able to pick up new information quickly. You will need to be confident working with a diverse range of people and cultures and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone with sparkle, drive & energy to come in and really drive some significant improvement.
