Are you an experienced and qualified accountant seeking a new opportunity?

A reputable organisation on the outskirts of Liverpool is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join their team. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance and working as part of a close-knit team.

The ideal candidate must have a background in the Not For Profit , Public Sector or Charity environment.

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing an effective stewardship program across the organisation.
Developing relationships with stakeholders across the wider business.
Maintaining accounting control and support internal and external reporting requirements.
Collaboration with other accountants, support staff, and colleagues across the organisation is essential.

As Finance Manager your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Stake holder finance support: Working closely with the entities the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in developing an effective relationships.
  • Strengthening and maintaining beneficial relationships
  • Managing Gift-Aid procedures operated and submitting claims to HMRC
  • The role includes the execution and review of month-end control procedures for the central charitable function Maintenance of unitised investment information, cash management forecasting
  • Production of draft financial statements for subsidiary entities

  • Be Qualified accountant
  • Have experience of working in the public sector or charity environment
  • Have strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in financial management
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Be able to work collaboratively across different departments and with external stakeholders

The successful candidate will be expected to act in a professional and appropriate manner at all times and actively promote the ethos of the organisation.
