White Ribbon UK is the leading UK organisation working to prevent men's violence against women and girls. They reach many thousands of people a year through their passionate and highly effective team. With a critical mission to achieve, they are ambitious to grow over the next five years.

What will you be doing?

As

Finance Manager

, you will joining White Ribbon UK at an important point in their development as they strive to grow their impact across the UK. You will oversee all financial aspects of the organisation, including their trading subsidiary, working in a solo finance role.

In your role as

Finance Manager

, you will have a forward-thinking, continuous improvement approach and will provide efficient and effective management of White Ribbon UK's finances.

You'll lead and oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance and efficiency in financial processes, and provide a comprehensive financial management, accounting, and administration service to maintain and develop the financial health of White Ribbon UK.

Additionally, you'll work across key areas including:

  • Financial Management: Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare management accounts, annual accounts, and ensure compliance with HMRC, Charity Commission, and Companies House requirements.
  • Strategic Support: Act as a key advisor to the Chief Executive and Trustees, providing professional insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Funding Support: Assist with funding applications and stakeholder reporting.
  • Risk Management: Lead on risk management for the organisation.
  • Systems & Processes: Oversee finance software and systems, including QuickBooks, and lead on creating and maintaining financial policies and procedures.

What will you need to offer?

This is a Finance Manager role, so we would expect candidates to possess a relevant accountancy or financial qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or be part-qualified), or have commensurate experience.

Additionally, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial leadership/management role, preferably in the third sector
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience supporting high-level strategic decision making
  • Comprehensive understanding of charity finance, including VAT, Gift Aid, and preparing statutory accounts
  • Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar software)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel skills
