Supplier Manager
- Daily Rate: £300-£500 per day via umbrella based on Experience
- Location: Warrington- Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 working from home.

We are seeking a Supplier Manager to lead the management and development of multi-million pound, medium cost and business risk suppliers. This role is a maternity cover contract based in Warrington, offering a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The successful candidate will be accountable for driving value in cost, risk, relationship, innovation, and performance from a portfolio of preferred suppliers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the management of 10 to 15 medium cost and business risk suppliers, ensuring full implementation of the Supplier Management Framework.
- Develop supplier joint account plans, adhere to meeting governance frameworks, and achieve continuous improvement targets.
- Collaborate with Market Management, Sourcing team members, and stakeholders to maximise overall value.
- Deliver significant savings and benefits throughout the contract and relationship lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with preferred suppliers and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and implement cost savings and benefits, supporting annual cost savings targets.
- Execute the Meeting Governance Framework for led suppliers, including ‘Head of' level sponsorship.
- Identify evolving business requirements, manage contract changes, renewals, and demand management activities.
- Introduce supplier-enabled innovation to deliver competitive advantage.
- Provide input into annual Integrated Market Planning reviews in collaboration with Market and Sourcing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Preferably degree educated with a relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g., CIPS, RICS, MBA, MSc).
- Demonstrable procurement experience, including supplier management/collaboration.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of supplier management/collaboration processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Proven negotiation, relationship development, and dispute resolution skills.
- Ability to influence using direct and indirect strategies.
- Problem-solving experience in large, complex organisations.
- Experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods.
- Completer finisher mindset.
- Project management and team management experience.
