Your Company:
The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful business to support their search for a
Temporary Accounts Assistant
to join their team in the Southampton area. This role is for a
period of 6-months
and is of relative urgency and therefore candidates will need to have a
short or no notice period.
This role will sit within the Finance team, to ensure that supplier and the accounts payable function is operating smoothly during a transition period for the company, as they are setting up a shared service centre that will eventually look after the Accounts Payable function in the future.
Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring suppliers are paid on time
- Accurately matching and coding invoices, ensuring they are batched correctly
- Handling supplier queries as they come in, seeking to find a resolution in a proactive manner and escalating any unresolved issues to senior Finance professionals
- Any ad-hoc tasks as needed by the Financial Controller
What you will need to Apply:
The company is keen to hear from ambitious accounting professionals with experience working within Accounts Payable and handling supplier reconciliations and processing expenses. It would be preferable that candidates have experience with using accounting software. Strong communication skills and a proactive enthusiastic mindset will be highly valuable in this role. Any accounting qualifications possessed will strengthen an application.
As per the nature of the role, you would need to be happy working in a
temporary capacity
and be able to start
immediately.
