Credit Controller

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well established company based in Leeds. This is a great opportunity to join a business where you can really grow with the business and develop and progress, long term wise.

What will you be doing?

  • Chasing outstanding debt in the appropriate method (letter, email, telephone) aiming to continuously reduce debtor days whilst keeping a good working relationship with all customers.
  • Issuing statements to customers monthly.
  • Acting as the key contact for customers and deal with their needs in the appropriate manner.
  • Allocating funds received from customers to the relevant accounts and reconcile to invoices and credit notes as applicable.
  • Raising invoices, credit notes and adjustments to correct customer accounts when required.
  • Requesting payments when necessary for rebates and overpayments.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Have experience of working within a finance team and will have proven experience of reducing aged debt.
  • Have experience of working within a fast paced environment.
  • Be confident with the full credit control process.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients.
  • Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Have strong IT skills.
