We are delighted to be working in partnership with East Coast Community Healthcare in the appointment of a newly created position as Head of People.

ECCH has been delivering NHS community healthcare to the people of Great Yarmouth and Waveney since 2011. Their vision is to build healthier communities and deliver outstanding healthcare, as a provider, partner and employer of choice

As Head of People, you will be a senior leader within ECCH, contributing to the organisation's strategic direction and reporting directly to the Executive Director of Quality and People. You will lead the People team, overseeing the strategic direction of people initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of employee engagement, development, and well-being.

The role:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Quality and People to deliver strategic people-focused initiatives into actionable plans for the organisation.
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and guidance to the People team, ensuring effective execution of people-related initiatives.
  • Working with key stakeholders to align people-focused practices with organisational priorities and objectives, promoting a cohesive approach across the organisation.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of people-focused policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Lead in employee relations, performance management, and talent development initiatives with a people-centric approach, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Acting as a point of contact for people-related matters, providing expert advice and support to leadership, People team, and staff as needed.

The person:

  • Qualified to CIPD Level 7, ideally holding chartered status of the CIPD.
  • Significant experience of working with senior leaders to develop people strategy and solutions to meet business outcomes.
  • Exceptional consulting skills and stakeholder management.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
  • An intuitive, analytical and pro-active approach to day-to-day work practices.
