Open Source Software Developer
Fully Remote (with an office in Cambridge, UK)
£75,000 - £80,000 depending on experience
Our long-standing client is an open source tech consultancy company, looking to grow their globally-based Software Engineering team. You will join a team of talented engineers, consultants, and developers to work on various projects for a variety of high-profile clients.
You will be working in an autonomous environment where personal growth is highly encouraged, with support from a globally distributed team working with cutting-edge technologies, all within the comfort of your own home (or their Cambridge office if you'd prefer!).
The role:
- Designing technical solutions to meet clients' requirements, leveraging open source technology
- Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to scope and design projects
- Adopt a consultative approach to understand client needs, accounting for barriers and available resources
- Represent the company during events, conferences etc.
- Continuously contribute to open-source projects
Requirements:
- Upstream contribution to the Open Source community
- Experience with OpenGL, Linux, Vulkan, Kernel, Continuous Integration
- Strong spoken and written English
- Ability to be fully autonomous
