Financial Accountant

- Salary: £40,000 - £51,000 per annum
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance and Services Division, offering strategic operational leadership in financial management. The role is pivotal in developing the department's analytical capabilities to support decision-making and the achievement of strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and providing insightful reporting to aid the organisation's mission.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Manage the accurate recording of payables, receivables, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure timely processing of payments to national and international suppliers.
- Conduct month-end procedures and authorise journals within set timetables.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts and oversee accounting for subsidiary organisations.
- Lead the development and enhancement of reporting processes and contribute to new treasury strategies.
- Manage and lead 2 Finance Officers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part Qual or Qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Extensive experience in a finance role.
- Knowledge of the charity sector and experience with Unit 4 ERP Systems are desirable.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
