We are currently recruiting for drivers across the parks service for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council from now through to September/October.
You must hold a full current driving licence AND a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and Qualification card (CPC card)
The role: Undertake work of a ground's maintenance and horticultural nature throughout the Parks Service, including driving and towing of a trailer.
Location: Newtownabbey Area
Hourly Rate: Driver £14.08 per hour
Working Pattern: Mon- Thurs 830-430pm, Fri 830-4pm, 1 in 3 Saturday 830-430pm (Thurs off)
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience of working within a small team
A positive attitude and flexible approach
Working knowledge of grass cutting, and grounds maintenance techniques
Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
As the post involves significant physical and manual handling elements, the post holder must be of a satisfactory level of general fitness
Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all types of weather
Willing to work overtime from time to time to meet the requirements of the service
Willing to work the pattern set out above. This pattern is under review and may be subject to change following consultation. Applicants must be willing to work this pattern or any other rotational shift pattern including early mornings and weekends
