Supply and Demand Planner – Southampton

A high-growth UK based ‘business to consumer' ecommerce brand, with global ambitions, have a brand-new position for an experienced Supply and Demand Planner to join their welcoming team. This business has their products manufactured exclusively in China. There are around 150 SKUs including spare parts, but only 20 SKUs that generate 95% of revenue. With plans to increase their product range and expand sales to the USA and EU, this person must be able to understand forecasting for a growing business with no set trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively work between stakeholders as well as manage existing inventory admin.
  • Implement and improve new and current processes, including key inventory functions (forecasting, movement of goods, SKU analysis, supplier management)
  • Managing team of 1, which will grow as we grow
  • Demand planning
  • Supply planning
  • Liaising with suppliers / product team to ensure manufacturers are clear of the schedule
  • Managing movement of stock from China to our international warehouses
  • SKU level analysis of sales performance, to inform the relevant stakeholders (marketing to run a sale, product team to focus on certain types of accessories etc.)
  • Raise POs for our suppliers and work with the finance team to ensure we have the cash flow requirements for POs we want to raise
  • Mange onboarding process for new products into our inventory and logistics systems (once the product team have finished their part of the process to get the product ready for first order)

Ideal experience

  • Experienced working with a global supply chain, manufacturers and logistics, preferably Chinese suppliers.
  • Experience in the use of excel and google sheets
  • Experience within international ecommerce
  • Experience working with a growing SME (desirable)
  • Experience in using Flexport to manage container movements (desirable)
  • Has worked with ‘Inventory Planner' software before, ideally Shopify + (desirable)
  • Has worked with ‘Inventory Planner' software before, ideally Shopify + (desirable)

  • Salary - Up to £45,000 – 60,000 per annum dependent on Experience
