We are looking for experienced Medical Receptionists/ Care Navigators to support our GP Practices in and around the Bolton, Bury, Swinton, Adlington, Chorley areas. Working hours between 8am - 6pm depending on the practice. Some practices work a split shift or offer full and part time. The hours would be anything from 20 - 30 - 37.5 hours per week, Paying in the range of £11.44 - £12.00 per hour dependant on experience.
What will you be doing as a Medical Receptionist/ Care Navigator?
We are looking for experienced candidates who are used to working in a busy working environment. Being the first point of contact for all patients face to face and over the phone.
Dependant on the practice, the duties will vary, but these are the types of duties a typical day would cover.
- Ensuring the practice is ready to go to receive patients at 8am
- Dealing with patients in reception to book on the day appointments
- Also take calls to arrange on the day and future appointments
- Speaking with patients to sign post in the right way
- Being empathic but also assertive with patients to ensure they are given the right information to make their pathway more successful
- Book appointments in the diary
- Check clinical rooms that they are clean and tidy and ready for meetings
- Make outbound calls to patients to make future bookings
- Pack up any samples to be delivered to hospital
- Update the patients records using the Emis system
- Deal with any office administration
