We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our IT department and contribute to the continuous improvement of solution development as we transition into the cloud and adopt a data-driven and agile approach. This role is integral to achieving our company objectives and aligns with our core values of excellence, integrity, and future focus.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Form, drive, and communicate a DevOps model within the team and across the business.
  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders and contractors to obtain information and make decisions aligned with our values.
  • Document findings and development clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships to enable project success.
  • Respond to requests for changes in program design or behaviour.
  • Develop, modify, debug, and improve solutions to shape our transformation.
  • Participate in product and code testing to ensure quality standards.
  • Analyse user feedback to improve programs and conduct experiments to solve programming problems.
  • Oversee the development of solution documentation standards and manage the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to technical incidents.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products and services.
  • Working knowledge and experience within a DevOps environment.
  • Hands-on programming experience with SQL, C#, .NET, JavaScript, VB, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, .NET Core, Angular, Xamarin, Git, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and related technologies.
  • Experience with ERP (IFS) and GIS (ESRI) integration is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to prioritise activities and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is desirable.
