Senior SWIFT Payments Officer

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Senior SWIFT Payments Officer to join the Payments Operations team on a 1 year FTC at a leading global bank in London. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing daily operations across EMEA offices, and responsibilities will include processing international payments, overseeing nostro control, and ensuring accurate booking and settlement services.

Duties of the Senior SWIFT Payments Officer to include:

  • Process payments, including funding/nostro control and SWIFT input/authorisation and monitoring
  • Checking and authorising sepa transactions
  • Investigate and rectify Nostro & internal account breaks
  • Payments processing for the International products and also processing for the EMEA offices including funding/nostro control and SWIFT input/authorisation and monitoring
  • Manage remittance product inquiries, monitoring via SWIFT and Email
  • Handle client information production and input client static data
  • Authorize accounting journals and verify SWIFT Alliance Messages
  • Monitor and act on the Midas Fusion close process
  • Providing quality & accurate booking and settlement services across a broad range of operational activities
  • Administering EMEA workflows and the distribution of work and controlling checks for work completion

What we need from you:

  • Knowledge of accounting breaks and double-sided bookkeeping is essential
  • Previous experience with payment investigations with strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of remittance products, foreign exchange, and current account management. Knowledge of SEPA, BACS AND SWIFT is essential
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Money Laundering procedures and investigations.
  • Awareness of global bodies' guidelines, including OFAC and BofE
