Your new role
Hays are proud to be working with a nationwide company who are looking to recruit a temporary Hire Co-ordinator.
Commercial
Carry out structured business development, including "cold calling" within the area designated, in order to achieve order targets.
Respond to customer enquiries to generate orders.
Promote and achieve commercial visit targets to be undertaken by the Hire Centre Manager/Business Development Manager.
Achieve hire orders and other KPI targets.
Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
Complete customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
Effectively use internal systems (e.g. SAP and Goldmine) to ensure customer information is kept up to date and systems are aligned.
Administration
Record movement of the Hire Fleet assets into and out of the Hire Centre, including maintaining stock availability records, special drawings files and unit movement register.

Where appropriate, and in the Manager's absence, this could include liaising with employed and sub-workers. Contract trade, completing the pre-delivery inspection and liaising with hauliers.Provide appropriate statistical information on a weekly/monthly basis as required.
Expedition of monies owed, in line with company guidelines and procedures.
General administration i.e. stationary, literature.
Quality Standards and Service
Ensure that all laid down quality systems e.g. ISO 9001 is adhered to.
To work within the principles as laid out in the Divisional Customer Charter.
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company procedure/Policies relating to Health and Safety.
Other
Assume responsibility, where necessary, in the absence of the Manager for the day to day smooth running of the Hire Centre.
In addition to the above, employees are required to carry out any reasonable request to perform other duties as may be required within the scope of the job role.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need planning and organisational, customer-focused, negotiating and influencing, target-driven, strong administrative experience gained in a customer service environment,- good level of numeracy/literacy and IT literature.

What you'll get in return
Hours of WorkMonday to Friday 08.30 - 16:45 (1 hour for lunch) 36.25 hours.
Additional HoursA reasonable amount of additional hours may be required to meet the workload and demands of the Department, an account of which has been taken in the salary.
