Elevation Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Plastics company in Barnsley to hire a skilled PVC Tool Setter.
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £33k
Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation (Mornings, Afternoons, Nights)
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and maintain extrusion machines to meet production standards
- Perform tool changes efficiently to minimize downtime
- Monitor machinery to ensure consistent product quality
- Keep the work area clean and organised
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure finished products meet quality standards
- Adjust machine parameters to sustain production levels
- Troubleshoot moulding issues
- Promptly report any issues to line managers
- Ensure production targets are met on time
Requirements:
- Previous experience in operating and setting extrusion machinery, within the plastics industry
- Strong knowledge of PVC processing and extrusion techniques
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions
