The Role of the Field Service Engineer
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of oil and gas monitors to ensure optimal performance.
- Install new monitoring equipment at various sites across the Southeast, London, up to East Anglian and across the southern region of the UK.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client issues and offering expert advice on equipment use and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment logs.
- Travel to client sites within the designated regions, with occasional overnight stays (1-2 times per month) as needed based on job requirements.
- Take control of your schedule to balance long days with the need to be home, ensuring a mutually beneficial arrangement.

The Ideal Person for the Field Service Engineer
- Previous field service experience in electro-mechanical field.
- Clean driving license.
- Flexibility and the ability to respond well to change and pressure plus a methodical approach to problem solving and trouble shooting.
- A passion for excellent customer support with a personable approach and the ability to communicate at all levels to develop long standing customer relationships.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to resolve customer issues.
- Minimum 1 year experience servicing analytical equipment. Some knowledge of the water industry would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Able to deliver a high level of customer care, willing and able to travel 5 days per week, Monday to Friday with some staying away.
- Good English skills, both verbal and written.
