An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical aspects of projects within the engineering and manufacturing environment. This role requires a commitment to the guiding principles and core values of the organisation, ensuring successful project completion and effective team management.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the development and introduction of new projects and engineering changes.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Provide project status reports, monitor budgets, and track trends.
  • Participate in customer/contractor meetings and resolve project issues.
  • Conduct feasibility reviews with suppliers and customers.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering changes in line with the change process.
  • Ensure effective engineering and customer communications.
  • Create and monitor project engineering schedules and forecasts.
  • Report and present the status of specific projects at key milestones and review stages.
  • Coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
  • Facilitate understanding of customer requirements through internal meetings.
  • Conduct contract reviews and manage project teams.
  • Implement risk management strategies, including HSE, schedule, quality, and financial aspects.
  • Approve documentation and raise variation orders for additional costs and schedule extensions.
  • Act as a single point of contact for project customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or above) or a minimum of 5 years of Project Management/Support experience.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of industry specifications and legal regulations.
  • Experience in Project Management within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Projects desirable.
  • Strong organisational and team-working skills.
  • Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly and make confident decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within budgets and deadlines.
  • Ability to review and implement new procedures using correct processes.
  • Technical/Engineering background is advantageous.
