Our client, a leading south-west accountancy practice, is currently seeking an adept Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic, forward-thinking team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will support senior team members by preparing annual accounts and tax computations, maintaining client records, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing communications with clients and colleagues.
The responsibilities:
- Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for incorporated and unincorporated businesses.
- Maintain and keep clients' accounting records up to date.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Correspond with clients via email and telephone.
- Liaise with HMRC through both telephone and email.
- Manage and resolve client inquiries and issues effectively.
The candidate:
- Proven experience in accounts and tax return preparation.
- Strong IT skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and excellent numeracy.
- Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
