Full-time (35 hours per week)

Up to £60,000 + Benefits

This is a well-known national charity working within the health and social care sectors. They are now seeking a new CEO to lead the organisation, to be based from their Bristol Head office.

While the role of the CEO encompasses every aspect of organisational management, they welcome applicants who demonstrate good commercial awareness and are passionate about the not-for-profit and third sector.

We are looking for someone who is currently in the role of CEO of a non-profit , charity, or social enterprise who can bring experience in the following areas of:

  • Working with the Chair and Board of Trustees on strategic direction, reach and focus
  • Fundraising or not-for-profit marketing and communications experience.
  • A track record of multitasking, the role involves managing a small team and you will need to be willing and able to take a hands-on approach and support them and the Trustee Board as and when required.
  • A good understanding of the different methods of charitable giving, specifically individual giving, trusts and foundations, legacies and major gifts.
  • An understanding of charity governance is required.
  • A passion for looking after donors and working with them as a team to achieve common goals.
  • Experience and knowledge of income generation, grants management, finance, governance and strong leadership, HR are key to this role.
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of people and stakeholders is required.
  • The ability to understand and convey technical or scientific information, sometimes communicating complex academic visions to non-academic supporters.
