Role Description

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Security Manager to take charge of the operational security across our campuses. The role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and visitors at all locations.

The main responsibilities include conducting regular risk assessments, overseeing daily security operations, managing access control systems, and ensuring emergency preparedness. You will lead a team of security personnel and maintain close collaboration with law enforcement and other key community stakeholders.

Main Duties:

  • Security Overview: Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies that align with our goals of providing a safe and supportive environment.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify potential threats and develop solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Security Operations: Oversee daily operations, including staffing, training, and performance management of the security department.
  • Incident Response & Emergency Preparedness: Ensure the implementation of effective incident response plans and readiness for emergencies.
  • Access Control & CCTV Management: Manage surveillance systems and control access to facilities.
  • Investigations: Conduct investigations into incidents, theft, and other security matters as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant security regulations and standards.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop a highly skilled and motivated security team.
  • Community Relations: Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners.

Key Objectives:

  • Visibility: Ensure a strong security presence across all campus areas.
  • Proactive Engagement: Engage with students, staff, and visitors to identify and mitigate potential security issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with safeguarding, student support, and executive teams to address emerging issues and trends.

Your Role: You will report directly to the Head of Estates & Facilities and work closely with other team members across our campus locations to ensure efficient task completion. You will play a key role in enhancing security, contributing to a safe and secure learning environment.
