Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the English department, overseeing curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in English.
- Inspire and motivate staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, empathy, and respect within the department and across the school community.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our Special & AP Hub, sharing best practices and innovative approaches.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience teaching English.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
