Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the English department, overseeing curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in English.
  • Inspire and motivate staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, empathy, and respect within the department and across the school community.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our Special & AP Hub, sharing best practices and innovative approaches.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience teaching English.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
