NET Recruit are supporting a highly successful business in the HVAC engineering and manufacturing sector who require a Quotations Engineer to join the team in the Basingstoke area. This business has been growing steadily now for some years, and is embarking on an excellent expansion plan to take place within the next few years, whereby they are considerably increasing their workforce and offerings, thus making this a lucrative time to join this leading business.
This is an ideal role for a knowledgeable technician or engineer, who is looking for a more sales and customer based route in their career, who can bring the wealth of practical technical knowledge to pair it with fantastic customer service skills in order to provide an attentive quotation service for potential customers.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Proactively handling incoming Sales calls and taking detailed notes to pass on to a relevant Sales Engineer
- Creating accurate and detailed quotations to customers
- Selecting Technical Specs for Ancillary Equipment
- Producing Draft Quote templates and Draft Costings as and when required by the team
- Evaluating Export Enquiries and administer where relevant to do so
- Maintaining Technical Files
- Ensuring enquiries are logged and distributed effectively internally to either Sales or Engineering, depending on which team is correct
- Liaising with Sales Order processing as required
- Attending sales and technical meetings when needed by the team
What you will need to Apply:
Applicants will need to have some experience in customer service or handling quotations and would also ideally have either technical experience or an Engineering qualification as a foundation for their knowledge. HVAC sector exposure is essential. Applicants are expected to be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and be customer focussed at all times. Good IT skills are also required for this role.

For the successful candidate, a starting salary in the region of £35,000 is on offer, with the potential for a bonus to be earned depending on performance.
