About Us: We are a dynamic and innovative company seeking a highly motivated Electrical Project Manager to join our team. Our projects span a diverse range of sectors including commercial, industrial and hospitality venues, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, snag-free projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be the client-facing representative of our company, responsible for multiple projects from pre-con handover to completion and final invoicing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Commercial Awareness: Monitor on-site works, obtain approval for variations, and ensure purchase orders match current contract values.
  • Client Interaction: Presentable and professional demeanour to cultivate strong relationships with clients and their project managers.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring design, drawings, budgets, and POs are all aligned.
  • Financial Oversight: Understand and deliver projects within budget, update financial accounts weekly, and ensure timely invoicing of variations.
  • Pre-Con Support: Carry out validations, site surveys, develop designs and drawings, and attend pre-start meetings.
  • Effective Communication: Issue accurate minutes and records after every client meeting.
  • Material Management: Maximise profit margins through better buying and ordering of materials, limit over-ordering, and return excess materials for credit.
  • Risk Management: Issue technical submittals and RFIs on day 1, manage client expectations, and address potential issues early.
  • Project Updates: Regularly update clients on project progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Labour Cost Management: Forecast and manage labour costs to stay within budget.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold high H&S standards and arrange additional training if required.
  • Team Support: Assist the site team with technical issues and maintain quality installations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in construction or related fields.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

Location: The role requires the ability to easily reach both Central London and High Wycombe. Some project may be outside of London, but will be discussed project by project.
