Personal Lines Account Handler

Our client is seeking a Personal Lines Account Handler to join their team in Essex. You'll need to be determined, positive and self-motivated with excellent communication and negotiation skills. With your excellent interpersonal skills and natural ability to build rapport with customers you'll also be providing fantastic levels of customer service and satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Handle all calls both outbound and inbound professionally and effectively maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Plan and maintain own effective time management system allowing sufficient time to complete quotations, chase unsold quotations, call historical leads and manage own diary system to enable cross selling to existing clients
  • Develop a sound understanding of products and services provided in order to advise clients on the full range
  • Undertake a high volume of outbound calls to existing clients to gain retention of business
  • Capture cross sale renewal dates for at least 50% of clients quoted to allow quotations to be provided at a later date
  • Identify opportunities to offer and up-sell all ancillary products available to all clients as well as offering upgrades of cover to all clients
  • Work towards achieving individual KPI targets
  • Work in a manner consistent with a regulated environment and FSA rules.

  • Minimum of 12 month Household experience
  • Proven experience in a commercial target driven (team and/or individual) environment, preferably contact centre, retail and/or financial services
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to build rapport and focus on the customer
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently "Lots of initiative and a positive attitude
  • Positive/Can do attitude
  • Excellent Telephone skills - clear and confident manner, active listening skills.
