We are seeing growth and development in all areas of the business, and we have an exciting opportunity to join us, as an Electric Technical Manager!

As the Electric Technical Manager, you will oversee and manage the end-to-end delivery of renewable electrical installations, ensuring systems are designed, installed, and certified to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include leading a team of work delivery and qualified supervisors, managing document submissions to Distribution Network Operators (DNO), ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, and conducting regular audits and quality checks. The role requires collaboration with project managers and stakeholders, acting as a technical contact for partners and suppliers, resolving complex technical issues, supporting the onboarding of new products, and mentoring the installation team.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is primarily remote, but on-site visits are necessary. Ideally, candidates based in the northwest will work from our Manchester or Wigan offices. The annual salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £58,000, to be discussed.

What we're looking for

  • Hold City & Guilds 2330 and 2391, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Electrotechnical Technology (Time Served - AM2), 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
  • Driving licence that enables you to drive in the UK with no more than 6 points.
  • Proven experience in managing and overseeing electrical installations, with desirable experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements, along with strong technical expertise in renewable energy technologies and electrical systems.
  • Able to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
