Based in Lincolnshire, our client is a well-established manufacturer of premium, high performance timber windows and doors.

Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Manager to drive their continued success. In this role, will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward in line with a strategic sales and marketing plan.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of clients including developers, architects, builders, contractors, and installers, and achieving sales targets.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will help shape our strategic sales plan, play an integral role in the sales team, and spearhead new business initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

We are looking for a driven sales professional with relevant experience, ideally in the built environment, construction, or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong Sales Skills: Proven track record in a similar role with demonstrated success , ideally within the built environment.
  • Self-Motivated: Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets and drives revenue growth.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to identify new leads, forge strong client relationships, and drive new business.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced with various systems, including CRM.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities including domestic and commercial replacements, self-builds, listed and heritage replacements, and approved installers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to devise strategies that reach new business goals.
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify, generate, and engage with sales prospects needing timber windows and doors, aligning them with the ideal customer profiles.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends.
  • Engage key decision-makers, build meaningful client relationships, and develop proposals to meet their needs.
  • Identify personas in need of the company products and work with the marketing team to develop solutions for their challenges.
  • Articulate the value proposition effectively.
  • Build and develop the account base, nurturing and growing existing relationships with key accounts.
  • Attend networking and industry events to acquire new leads and expand brand awareness.
  • Create sales forecasts and actively work towards reaching them.
  • Collaborate with design and estimating teams to ensure compelling presentations and proposals.

Salary: £45-55K + Commission + Car Allowance

Hours: 8am to 5pm

Holidays: 23 Days + Bank Holidays
