This is a newly created Fixed Income Trading Support position within front office to support the Head of Fixed Income & the fixed income trading desk.
This standalone role, has been created to sit in front office to provide trading support to the fixed income traders. Whilst candidates do not need to have covered all fixed income instruments, they should be open to working with all fixed income instrument types.
The role will include providing trading support, ensuring accurate and appropriate analysis and reporting of PnL and positions, managing corporate actions, and resolving booking issues. Additionally, you will be involved in modelling and analysing strategy performance attributes, producing daily reports and dashboards for management, as well as leading report creation for reconciliation, risk, price, and size. You will have opportunities to add value by performing gap analysis between NAV systems, conducting ad hoc analysis, maintaining and improving reporting tools, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including other trading desks, quant researchers, operations, risk management, and IT.
Ideal candidates will be degree-educated, proactive team players with approximately 2-5 years of fixed income trading support experience, with advanced Excel skills, and Python programming ability. The successful incumbent will thrive in a high-energy environment, will be looking for a steep learning curve, and eager to remain in a trader assistant role long-term. This role will suit flexible individuals who enjoy the excitement and challenges of high-volume trading and are highly organised with a 'can do' attitude to take the lead in supporting the traders on the fixed income desk.
