We have a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Electrician at Doncaster Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
What is the role?
Doncaster Council are looking for a Qualified Electrician to join a team of electricians, carrying out repairs and maintenance to Schools and other Public Building within the Borough.
What are your responsibilities?
- All electrical works are commercial within public buildings and schools. The works will consist of full electrical refurbs, fire alarm installs Mains upgrades, installation of new SWA cables, installation of smart lighting, mains upgrades, fault finding. Installation of conduit, tray, trunking and SWA cables. A good level of experience shall be required by all successful candidates.
- To supply a service for the maintenance and repair of electrical installations and rewire of properties in the Authority throughout DMBC.
- Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations in accordance with BS7671.
- To be able to adapt to the needs of the service, in particular multi-skilling in other trade.
- May be required to drive a council vehicle in order to carry out their duties.
What skills do you Need?
- Must have previous experience as a Qualified Electrician
- Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, and other members of staff.
- Qualified with 18th Edition.
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Must have own Tools
