Business Partnerships Administrator

Posted by South Thames College Group.

Here at South Thames Colleges Group, we are looking for someone to join our Business Partnerships Team in an administrative capacity, with the aim of promoting employer engagement. This includes working with external agencies and stakeholders to develop business opportunities including apprenticeships, full cost and employability courses.

Using your strong administrative skills and high attention to detail, you'll ensure that all records and data pertaining to employers and apprenticeship recruitment is kept up to date and logged accordingly. You'll ensure all enquiries, calls, meetings, and engagements are logged in the College MS Teams system and manage the generic email inbox, responding to and tracking emails as appropriate. You'll systematically check the Apprenticeship Applications, liaising with relevant curriculum teams to help facilitate the apprentices through the enrolment process, and liaise with employers to agree suitable vacancy details, before creating and managing STCG apprentice vacancies via Recruit and Apprentice and the College website, to ensure they are successfully recruited and kept up to date.

With confident and accurate communication skills, you will have relevant experience of working with apprentices, businesses and/or the employer market and be able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. You'll have excellent business administration skills and a creative approach to problem solving, as well as being competent in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams. You'll be able to work on own initiative with less regular supervision to prioritise a varied workload, work to tight deadlines, multi-task and make appropriate decisions under pressure. Knowledge of Labour Market Information, Local Skills Improvement Plans and Apprenticeships would be beneficial, but this is by no means essential.

This is a hybrid role, working from any of the STCG College sites (Kingston College, Merton College, South Thames College) and/or some home working (if desired).

Whilst this is a permanent, full time role for 36 hours per week, we would be happy to discuss term time only working arrangements at interview stage.

Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 4th July 2024

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 27 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees' physical and mental health. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package is pro-rated for part time staff.

As outlined in the Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act 2010, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

As part of our due diligence checks on prospective employees, successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
