Finance Manager

I am seeking a Finance Manager with a well established, long standing local company to oversee the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions. This role involves managing a full-time bookkeeper and handling a wide range of financial tasks from monthly management accounts to budget forecasting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the full-time bookkeeper and oversee the financial operations of the organisation.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Journals.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable along with Credit Controls.
  • Manage banking operations, reconciliations, and transactions via multiple online platforms, and employee expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and Corporation Tax requirements.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and conduct monthly reporting against actual figures.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification (QBE, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial systems and budgets.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
