Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking for a Housing Strategy and Policy Officer to join our team in Housing Transformation and Regulation. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £34,834 - £41,418 per annum (pro rata for part time).

About the Housing Strategy and Policy Officer role

As the Housing Strategy and Policy Officer, you will be at the heart of shaping the future of housing in Babergh and Mid Suffolk.

Your work will directly influence how housing strategies are developed and delivered, ensuring the right homes are built in the right places to meet the needs of diverse communities. From first-time buyers to older residents, and from those with disabilities to military households, you will use data and insights to make a real impact.

Collaboration will be key working alongside local authorities, housing associations, and community groups, you will play a pivotal role in crafting housing policies that promote growth and inclusivity. Your expertise will help build thriving, sustainable communities, while ensuring housing policies stay aligned with the latest legislative and regulatory developments.
