We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager covering the North for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale. They are looking for someone to cover the North of England including Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager
- Generate leads.
- Build new relationships and network with new and existing clients.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and follow up quotations.
- Develop and execute the sales strategy.
- Attend trade and consumer shows.
- Update clients on machine prospects giving probability and timing of each prospect.
- Competitor research and analysis.
- Extensive travel in the UK and overseas as required.
Requirements for a successful Area Sales Manager
- Previous Sales Management experience in a similar industry.
- Target driven with a passion for sales.
- Proven Sales skills with an entrepereneurial drive.
- Thorough understanding of the industrial and construction markets.
- Outstanding communication skills with ability to build a rapport with people of all levels.
- Computer literate.
- Commercially astute.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 plus bonus
Job Location: Field based covering the North
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
