JOB TITLE - SEND Teaching Assistant

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are working with a leading SEND school in Preston, committed to providing exceptional education and support to students aged 11-16. Their inclusive environment fosters growth, learning, and development for all our students.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support the diverse student body. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with SEND needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working as an SEND TA or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various SEND needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEND needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable).
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
