Robert Half are looking for an immediately available Purchasing/Procurement Manager to join a leading global manufacturer known for its commitment to innovation and quality. The Purchasing Manager will oversee the UK purchasing function, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials at optimal cost, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
This is an interim role for a period of 8-12 weeks. Based 2/3 days a week at the company offices in Banbury, paying between £45-50k DOE.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement procedures for procuring materials and services.
- Liaise regularly with the Director of Procurement Europe to implement strategic decisions.
- Consolidate major purchases to leverage best possible pricing.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure reliable sources of supply and information.
- Ensure thorough and complete purchase and inventory records for accurate accounting.
- Resolve disputed purchases of goods and services, balancing company protection and supplier fairness.

Qualifications/Experience:
- CIPS qualification preferred.
- Proven track record in a purchasing/procurement role (manufacturing experience desired)
- Strong commercial understanding to ensure customer excellence.
- SAP knowledge
