Description

As Procurement Manager you will own and lead the tender process for various categories, both for new and existing suppliers. You'll be instrumental in sourcing new suppliers for raw materials, in collaboration with the Head of Procurement, and ensure that my client continues to secure the best value for its needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the tender process for your categories, ensuring best-in-class sourcing for both new and existing suppliers.
  • Lead regional tenders to secure the correct costs for ingredients and packaging.
  • Strategically negotiate and manage contracts to mitigate risks and drive value creation.
  • Oversee all categories and associated suppliers, monitoring and evaluating their performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to deliver cost-saving initiatives across multiple sites.
  • Drive cost reduction and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support R&D and innovation projects in conjunction with NDP and Commercial teams.
  • Rationalise the supply base, ensuring optimal supplier relationships.

Profile

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in ingredients procurement, with a proven track record in a Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer role.
  • Strong understanding of the procurement industry and economic trends.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects across different sites.
  • Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills, capable of leading teams and taking stakeholders on a journey.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK, and potentially Europe.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented individual looking to advance in their career.

Job Offer

A competitive salary up to £65,000 plus package.
