SAFE INSTALLER AND DELIVERY DRIVER

Posted by Burton Security .

This is an exciting opportunity to join Burton Safes, a small but successful company specialising in the manufacture, distribution and installation of physical security solutions. Due to rapid sales growth in the South East we are looking to add a new installation engineer to the existing London based team.

In addition to a good basic salary, you will earn overtime and a bi-monthly bonus. You'll also benefit from a company van & tool kit, 20 days' (+ 8 statutory days) annual holiday with a time served accrual system, job specific training, pension, life insurance, and enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave and company sick pay schemes after a qualifying period.

The primary role will be installing safes to domestic properties, retail shops and businesses. In addition, there is a regular requirement to install security doors, panic rooms, window security and vaults rooms to both domestic and commercial properties. Daily duties will include:

  • Checking your daily work schedule and logging completed jobs on a simple route planning App
  • Collection of goods from a central depot
  • Driving to customer premises around London & the South East of England
  • Checking and following Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Transporting safes into the premises and fixing them into position
  • Installing security doors, window security & panic rooms
  • Making customers smile!

Usually working in a team of two, you will be delivering and installing very heavy items. Some previous experience of removals work, white goods deliveries, heavy/large goods deliveries or door installations is essential.

Equally as important is your ability to work safely and to give customers a fantastic experience. You are the face of our company and its your job to brighten their day.

To be successful, you must:

  • Have experience as a delivery driver or installer, specifically moving heavy or large goods
  • A high level of safety consciousness
  • Enjoy making a customer happy
  • Be able to overcome unexpected hurdles
  • Provide tidy, clean workmanship
  • Have a UK driving licence and be able to drive a 3.5t van

CSCS Cards and experience of door installations, joinery or shop fitting would be an advantage but are not essential.
