Objective:
The SAS team aims to build a centralised Core Cloud platform hosted on AWS to:
- Consolidate existing cloud platforms.
- Improve the security posture of the platform.
- Enable quicker release of changes.
- Scale and industrialise the Core Cloud platform for use by other portfolio teams.
Role Description:
The SAS team is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design and build the centralised Core Cloud platform in AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a centralised Core Cloud platform in AWS.
- Consolidate multiple existing cloud platforms into the new Core Cloud platform.
- Enhance the security measures of the Core Cloud platform.
- Ensure the new platform allows for faster release cycles.
- Scale and industrialise the platform for use across various portfolio teams.
Key Projects:
- Migrating approximately 70 services currently hosted on ACP (one of the existing cloud platforms) to the new Core Cloud platform.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, particularly with AWS.
- Hands-on experience in designing and building cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Ability to manage technical debt and streamline release processes.
- Experience with cloud migration projects.
This role is critical in driving the end client's cloud strategy forward, ensuring their platforms are secure, scalable, and efficient for future growth.
