Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: Leiston, near Suffolk Coast

Salary: £32,160 - £34,833.60 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? Our client is seeking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team at a 4-bed children's home in Leiston, near the beautiful Suffolk coast. Our home supports children aged 9-17 who are experiencing social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
  • Implement and adhere to individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Support children in developing their independence and life skills.
  • Lead shifts and guide junior staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development.

Shift Patterns:

  • A mixture of early shifts (08:00-16:00), late shifts (15:00-23:00), and long days (08:00-23:00).
  • 1-2 sleep-ins per week.
  • Rolling rota with every other weekend off.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient, patient, and understanding.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
