Teaching Assistants

Teaching Assistants required to support children on a 1-2-1 and small group basis at a number of Birmingham SEND Schools. Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for either long-term or day to day work in Special Needs Schools? Have you previously worked with Autism, ADHD, MLD or SLD?

The Education Network is currently supporting a number of SEND schools in ensuring that children receive outstanding support from Teaching Assistant who love being there. These schools are both primary and secondary special schools, with requirements for both day-to-day and long-term cover. Minimum requirements for these roles is SEND experience and ideally you will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant Qualification.

Job Role:

  • Providing day to day or long-term support for children with special educational needs.
  • Working in several different schools, using a variety of support techniques.
  • Understanding the needs of children and providing the appropriate care.
  • Providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for young people with SEND.
  • Working with experienced Teachers and TA's to meet the needs of children.
