Kitchen Designer

Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a quality independent retailer of quality kitchens who also sell to trade and builder industries. They are seeking a sales-driven Kitchen Designer to strengthen their Retail Division for their showroom in Surrey.

This is a permanent position which comes with an OTE of circa £65,000 for the right candidate.

Your duties will include:

  • Using your extensive sales experience preferably within the kitchen industry to increase showroom turnover.
  • Designing and selling kitchens and bedrooms to the complete satisfaction of our customers.
  • Achieving targeted sales and profit figures.
  • Developing the Trade side of the business via trade contacts and network with builders, architects and interior designers.
  • Driving recommendation to the business from your existing client base.
  • Managing effective relationships and secure business with our Retail customers.
  • Ensuring your service levels meet the company's requirements.
  • Effectively engaging with our consumers and trade professionals alike.
  • Proactively seeking out new business opportunities and growth.

This is the ideal role for an enthusiastic go getter who is keen to progress with a company.

You should have:

  • Strong commercial acumen ideally from within a consumer facing industry.
  • Experience of working with both Retail and Trade customers and the capability to understand and empathise with their differing needs.
  • An understanding and belief in the benefits of design excellence. The ability to design kitchens and bedrooms, large and small, on a CAD package. Experience of CAD Design is a positive advantage, although full training will be provided.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a great work ethic and a "can do" approach.
  • Demonstrable experience in new business generation.
