Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Production Planner to work with a well-established engineering company based near Wednesbury. The Production Planner will be responsible for processing and planning of orders for machined components.
Working hours for the Production Planner:
- Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Duties of the Production Planner:
- To keep abreast of internal capability and capacity to enable customer delivery expectations to be consistently achieved. Liaise with shop floor team leaders when highly complex parts are required.
- To maximise profitability when creating job cards after reviewing sales estimate by improving planned routing and raw material selection wherever possible, while minimising waste of materials, transportation and labour.
- To always maintain a professional but friendly working relationship with all suppliers and colleagues within the group.
- To liaise with all other departments in order to expedite the intended workflow and help resolve quality and logistical issues
The successful candidate for the Production Planners position will have the following experience:
- 3 - 5 years experience working as a Production Engineer (Essential)
- Experience working within a machining environment (Essential)
- Working within a Fasteners environment (Desirable)
- Working with ERP Systems (Essential)
