My Berkshire based Client is urgently recruiting for a Head of Housing Property Services, to head up a team dedicated to offering high-quality homes and exceptional services to their residents. With a portfolio of over 6,000 properties, they are committed to maintaining and enhancing their homes through comprehensive repairs and maintenance programs. The Company mission is to provide safe, comfortable, and well-maintained housing that supports vibrant communities.

I am looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Housing Property Services to lead the Property Services team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of their extensive property portfolio, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Property Services team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for repairs and maintenance, ensuring the effective management of our 6,000 properties.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance activities, including routine, preventive, and emergency repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of property services.
  • Drive innovation in property maintenance, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the performance and status of property services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior property services management role, preferably within the housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of property maintenance, repairs, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and other relevant technologies.
  • Degree or professional qualification in property management, construction, or a related field is preferred.
